The list must include the following:

-Everyday sedan for commuting and taking the kids to soccer practice.

-SUV for off-roading or comfort or both.

-American Muscle Car

-Supercar

-Reasonably Priced Car (under $18k new, or $15k used)

-Vintage (pre-1980)

The remaining 4 cars can be anything at all. I’ll have my list up in the next few days.

Yeah, that’s me wearing the the Celtics jersey on the fourth row behind the Grizzlies bench. C’s beat the Grizz 116-110 in overtime. This was my very first NBA game and it couldn’t have been much more fun. Thanks to Em and her dad for hooking me up with this incredible birthday present.

Made this video for my Video Production class. This is the first video I have shot and edited. Not perfect, but I think it turned out well.

I had very few expectations going into fall break (I’m still not sure if a three-day weekend counts as a “break,” but, hey, I’m not complaining).  To tell the truth, by Thursday afternoon I was just happy to be done with major projects and tests for a while.

I’ll skip to Friday evening since that’s the first thing I can remember after the post-mid-term fog.  With little else to do I decided to head over to MHA to see how the football team was holding up against Jackson Christian. I arrived at the ticket table sometime after halftime and noticed there were 5 or 9 eighth-grade girls sitting around chatting or doing whatever it is that eighth-grade girls do. All of a sudden a chorus of shrieks broke out. I checked behind me thinking that perhaps Justin Bieber was arriving late as well.  I had heard that I was a popular substitute, but the extent of my popularity was unclear until this point. I shook off the temptation to get a big head and continued in to watch what was left of the football game.

Saturday Em and I left for left for Henderson to visit MM and Seth. After a quick tour of their very awesome barn-house-thing and an introduction to the neighbors Seth suggested that we take the four-wheeler out for a spin. To many people riding a four-wheeler probably doesn’t sound very exciting. For me, though, it was like jumping on a speeder and riding through the Forest Moon of Endor.  After everyone took a turn or two on the spee—er—four-wheeler we went back inside to carve up pumpkins.

When I was a kid carving pumpkins was a big deal. There was an annual pumpkin carving party where a bunch of people I knew and I bunch of people I didn’t know gathered to celebrate the fall season(Halloween is an entirely separate celebration that was more about bags of candy and less about large squash).  It’s been a very long time since I’ve been able to attend the Pumpkin Party so carving pumpkins this year was an absolute treat.

That night included very delicious home-made BBQ chicken pizza, also very delicious gelato, and a movie. A zombie movie. A zombie movie on the biggest t.v. I’ve ever seen.

Zombieland taught me a few things.

  1. Don’t judge a movie by its subject matter. Yes, the movie was cheesy and goofy, but it’s also a movie I could watch on a semi-regular basis.
  2. I should really start doing more cardio in case of a zombie apocalypse.
  3. Bill Murray is a legend.
  4. Enjoy the little things. Never take a twinkie for granted.

A drive back to Memphis and a very long, rainy drive back to Searcy later and here we are. Thanks for reading.
